If you’ve ever had utility work done outside your home, you’ll know that when the crews need to dig, they dig. Fixing the hole – making it look as new – is someone else’s job.
When it comes to paths and drives, reinstating pattern imprinted concrete is a big challenge, which is why we often work with insurance companies, utility companies and contractors to fix broken, mis-matched or poorly laid concrete.
On this project, the homeowner had a utility issue that meant part of their path had to be dug out. The problem itself was sorted, but the area was then filled back in with plain concrete that didn’t match the rest of the path.
It clearly looks patched, unfinished and out of place.
So they called Complete Driveway Designs.
Making the whole area look right again
Rather than leaving the homeowner with a messy repair in the middle of their outdoor space, we came in to tidy up the full area properly.
We dug out all the old concrete, prepared the levels and poured fresh concrete around the entire path. Clean, neat and deliberate.
The homeowner chose a plain concrete finish, with a minor brush effect to keeps simple, practical, and durable.
A clean, practical finish
The result was a much tidier path that no longer looked like an emergency fix.
- No awkward patch.
- No mismatched section.
- No rough concrete left behind after utility work.
Just a clean, usable path that looked like it should do!
